Questions builders ask us
What's the difference between the plans?
All plans include unlimited projects, invoices, email ingestion, client invoicing and reports. Pro and above add AI credits for plan analysis, estimating and the AI assistant, the ability to connect Claude or ChatGPT straight to your business, plus SMS, WhatsApp and a dedicated phone number, which Base does not include.
How do I get started?
Create an account and pick a plan to start your 14-day free trial with full access. Nothing is charged during the trial. At the end your card is charged automatically unless you cancel.
What help do I get during the free trial?
We set you up on a call — your business details, your people and their permissions, and your cost codes — help you bring your existing clients, suppliers and current jobs across, and walk you through running one of your own jobs end to end. It is included with the trial at no charge — there is no setup fee.
What happens when my free trial ends?
Your self-serve trial runs for 14 days with full access. At the end, your subscription starts automatically and your card is charged for the plan you chose. We email you a reminder 3 days beforehand. Cancel any time before then from the Billing page and you won't be charged.
Can I cancel during the free trial?
Yes. Cancel from the Billing page in your account at any time before the trial ends and you will not be charged. Cancelling takes a couple of clicks — you do not need to call or email us.
Is there a lock-in contract?
No. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time from the Billing page in your account, and yearly plans simply run to the end of the year you have paid for. There is no exit fee and no minimum term.
Can I change plans later?
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from the Billing page in your account.
Are there any additional costs?
BuildLedger itself has no additional costs beyond your subscription. AI credits and, from Pro up, SMS and WhatsApp allowances are included in your plan. If you need more of either, you buy a one-off credit pack — there is no second monthly bill to sign up for.
